I’m a jazz musician and a software engineer with a passion for genealogy, cooking, movies and language. I live in Los Angeles with my wife Debra, who is also a genealogy nut with degrees in Egyptology and Beatleology. My adult kids Nicole, Jeff and Greg live in Massachusetts, and as far as I can tell, share enough interest in genealogy to say, “Oh, that’s cool…” when I tell them about a new discovery. My step-sons Malcolm and Corran seem to tolerate our endless discussions of the various ways to find a lost ancestor or the art and science of putting up short wave antennas. My cat’s name is Anna and our 12 year old goldfish, originally named Cecil, has had a number of name changes recently. I’m very fond of calling him Rafael Sabatini.
You can see my family website Dumes.Net which contains family tree data, old documents, photos, movies and also keeps the family connected, as we are so spread across the country and the world today.
Thank you so much for your website and ОСОБЕННО for

Gala (Галя) from Riga.
Гала, спасибо за комплименты! Я рад, что Вы нравились мои сайты.
Hi,
Do you know where I could watch Moscow doesn’t believe in tears with Russian subtitles, or if I could download them anywhere?
Thank you very much for the other films with Russian subtitles, they have been very useful for my studying.

Здравствуйте, вы замечательный человек,я думал, немного людей, которые интересуются русским языком.
А я, понял, что выучить английский язык до совершенства, и буду прилагать усилия!
Здравствуйте
I am from Romania, very close to Russia, and i`ve grown a very big interest in russian language lately:) I`ve been fascinated by this country and its culture for a long time, and now i want to learn the language, po-russki:) I have an old book from when people in Romania used to learn russian in school. It is very difficult for me, and my language is very close to russian one, so i can imagine how difficult it must be for others, from other countries, especially americans:) Anyway, I just wanted to say that this website is awesome and i bookmarked it:)) I intent to watch all the movies, and later on, when i will understand russian better, i will start with the recommended books and everything you propose here:) Keep up the good work, and Thanks!
